This card is for my cousin who will not take me to Alaska fishing with him; now he'll think of me when he's out there 'Catching the Big One that Got Away'.
The technique for the BG is Embossed Webbing and the stamp is from www.ibrakeforstamps.com under Humorous Seniors. The hook is real and so I gobbed (that's a technical term used in stamping) on some Crystal Effects to keep the hook from biting.
This was a fun card to make and will be even more fun when I see the look on his face as he opens it!
Thanks for looking!

This was a fun card as most of it was done with the Cuttlebug using an embossing folder and die cuts then layering it onto the card body.
The background paper was a scrap I had leftover from a technique I don't remember and once the image was embossed I went over the raised image with SU markers to bring it out.
The card was fast and simple!
The background on the left was done by ramdomly stamping various designs in 3 matching inks followed by haphazardly brushing the background with white acrylic mixed with Pearl-Ex.

The elephant, by SU, was stamped, using a pigment ink, on an oak veneer and mounted on dark brown paper.

The background on the right was done using the Wax Paper Resist technique, that can be found at techniquejunkies.com, on Really Rust paper.

This card was made for my adult son and he really liked it.

The background technique on the top half of this card is called Faux Handmade Paper and can be found on techniquejunkies.com. It's really fun to do and adds wonderful dimensions to the card.

The bottom of the card was done with my Cuttlebug and and embossing folder. The stamp and markers used to color the envelope and flowers are SU.

You know I really need to get into the habit of scanning my cards before I send them off. I am inclined to get them off to the recipient ASAP.
